Philanthropy Meets Fashion

On behalf of fashion-forward art lovers everywhere, I would like to thank New York philanthropists Jonathan and Lizzie Tisch for their recent, very generous contribution to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

The co-chairman of Loews Corp. and his sartorially savvy wife, who attend the museum’s annual Costume Institute gala each year, have given $10 million to help the Met build new galleries devoted to the art of fashion. The 4,200-square-foot exhibition space is a very much anticipated addition to the Fifth Avenue landmark, and will help further showcase the museum’s well-rounded collection.
