Today I am inspired by Drew Barrymore to find love in the most unexpected places. Her new book, Find it in Everything (published by Little, Brown), is a compilation of photographs of hearts she found in everyday objects. Her pictures remind us that love and happiness can peek through the most surprising hiding spots, causing instant joy.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

This Fall, Hearts are Aflutter

Wild at Heart

Hearts are prettying up everything this fall, from dainty accessories to chunky statement pieces, and I can’t get enough of the look. I recently bought this dress at J.Crew, but I’m yearning to add a few more love-inspired items to my collection. My favorites are above, including Burberry Prorsum’s girly-yet-boyish loafers which pair perfectly with jeans or dresses. The options are endless, and most stray from being saccharine sweet. Shop the look below!

  1. Markus Lupfer Key to My Heart sequined merino wool sweater, $440.
  2. Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush blush, $29.
  3. RainyDayColors Rainbow Heart Stationery Cards, $5.99 for a set of 4.
  4. J.Crew PLAY Comme des Garcons pink heart tee, $118.
  5. Burberry Prorsum Heart Print Calfskin Loafers in camel, $495.
  6. Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti Full Heart cuff in 18K gold.

I “Heart” Honor’s Fall 2013 Collection

Fashion designer Giovanna Randall is one of the girliest girls you will ever meet so it came as no surprise that her Fall 2013 collection, which debuted yesterday in Chelsea, is a refreshing mix of beautifully tailored, uber-feminine pieces. As models walked the runway, they  flaunted pale pink wool coats, bright pink brocade trousers, and black and white ensembles, all  embellished with pink heart shaped rhinestones or heart cutouts. The designer’s emphasis on playful  heart motifs and the color pink  were a breath of fresh air for fashion editors who are so used to seeing dismal shades of brown and gray on fall runways.  My guess is that Honor’s fall collection was Randall’s way of saying Happy Valentines Day.
